After hearing the news about the disaster that struck Japan, I had really prayed very hard for them...

The people in Japan had remain very brave after such disaster had struck. News had also reported that the citizens there are helping each other out in every way they could, trying to bring everyone out of this catastrophic incident. Besides that, after checking up on facebook as well as the comments on yahoo news, everyone was praying and hoping that the Japanese are able to escape out of the leaked radiation from the damaged reactors.

Currently, as I am sitting down in front of my laptop, I wondered that we are so fortunate to be able to live in such a destination where natural disaster can hardly reach us. Unlike the Japanese, where many loves one are being drowned or swept away by the massive tsunami, everyone was crying over the dead as well as trying to ensure of their own survival.

I prayed hard for peace and everyone should lend a helping hand in which every way they could...

Good luck and stay strong, Japan...

Yesterday, I went for a photo shooting session with Royal Artistes yesterday. We had a really fun time, and I also had learned a magic trick from Elson as well.

Before the photo shooting session, the most important thing to do in order to shoot out a high quality photo, it requires a proper make up to cover up all the weaknesses in my face. The person who had helped me in covering up my pimples as well as enhancing my outlook for the photo shooting session is Mr Alex.
His make up skills were totally awesome and I really wanted to thank him big time.

After the photo taking session, we also took a royal artistes family photo.

Besides that, the most important point of all is that I want congratulate Elson in performing a successful music showcase in Unity Secondary School. I have heard that there are great responses from the students there. kampateh Elson!

Exams are finally over. Time for a two days relaxation before continuing the preparation for my O level exams. During the time of relaxation, I had also started playing basketball. Everyday after school, I would usually go to my preferred basketball court to practice my shots or play a match with the strangers

During the times where I had played basketball with strangers, I felt an improvement in some aspect of my communication skills. In a basketball match, communication is needed as you will need to coordinate your own position with your teammates when calling for the ball, passing, etc. The communication with the strangers had boost my confidence greatly in able to speak up as well.

It was not just the communication skills that I had improved, I had also benefited in losing some weight as well as the knowledge on how to handle the opponent during some situation. Being able to lose down some weight was the biggest achievement I for this month currently. Now, I am able to run faster than my usual pace and I have more stamina to carry myself up and down the court.

However, playing basketball for long hours had some side effects on my skin. At the end of the day, I felt sunburn along my face and it was very painful for the first few days. Going to school had also bothered my feelings to study as my friends are constantly laughing about my reddened face.

After a few days, the effects of the sunburn had decreased and the laughter about my face had stopped as well. Now I am able to play basketball again to lose down more weight and improve on my basketball skills.

To all my friends:

It had been three years since we had known each other. During those days, we had shared a common experience on the fear for exam, and the fear for test.  However, going for test or exams seems monotonous for us now after three years, except for the fact if we did not prepared well for it. We all knew the importance for this year, and we work hard for it. This will be the last year before we part ways with each other as some of us had considered to be transfer to Poly or JC after the graduating from school, and we are all working hard towards the final destination of our secondary school life. Therefore, this year, we shall decide on our fate whether to enter JC or Poly, ITE or retain in school.

Besides that, I had really cherish the friendships we had, we play and study together, we had joy and sadness as well, and we also got scolded by our teachers in school. Those days in school are gone as all of us knew exactly how to behave and what to do in school right now, compared to our secondary one and two days. Thinking back on the day when I stepped into this school, everybody was a total stranger to me. I tried to make some friends, but I was afraid to even communicate with anyone. As timid as I was, it took a week for me to be able to talk to my classmates and make friends with them. I believe everyone experiences the same thing too. Well, the school is more or less our friend right now, as everybody seems to know everyone. From the express to the technical classes, we can simply call our some of them and say hi to them. We knew all of them, and we are friends as well, though we had a few we dislike XD.

What important this year is our O levels but not friendship. Placing friendship aside, we should compete with one another to motivate us to be the top in school. From my point of view, motivation is the best way to strive for the best, actually it is the main way to strive for distinction. We should be concentrating on our O levels now, and lets not treat this year as what we had for secondary three. Therefore, I want to wish all my friends to have study hard and play hard, good luck for O levels! ( as well as our common test)XD

Last Tuesday, I had went to Singapore Polytechnic for a conference about Media Communication.

That day, the crowd was huge! There were a few famous schools who attended the conference as well.

On that day, my schoolmates were totally pathetic. Some of my classmates had totally no respect for the speaker.
Some of them played their Iphone games, listening to music through the earpiece, or having a conversation while the speaker was speaking.

Well, luckily, no one had scolded us publicly.

Besides that, the presentation was really interesting. As they touch on issues about social networking sites such as Facebook, and they had also discuss about some reporter website like Omy.com. In addition, they had also touch on a few topic that is related about teenagers of today's modern society who do not know anything about time management.

They presented a statistic about the survey they had did on teenagers on the usage of social networking sites as well as cyberbullying.
They came out with a shocking result that teenagers uses Facebook for an average of 5 hours per day.

The results were unbelievable, as most of my classmates spent more time on their games instead on Facebook. Considering the fact that the time a teenager spend on social networking sites is 5 hours, this shows that there are some teenagers who are likely to be using Facebook for more that 12 hours per day.

About cyberbullying, 99% of the teenagers does not recognizes the definition of cyberbullying clearly. I was one of them as well. :D

Well, at least on that day, I had managed to learn something on such a trend in Singapore as well as solution to prevent cyberbullying. :D
